1st week back

Hello! Well I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and new year's party!!! I must say it is nice to be back, but we were not exactly eased in- Monday and Tuesday were taken up with some particularly murderous exams... but now they are over, the week has passed (in true lightening speed style as usual). Thursday was Firm 1- we did 'Health beliefs and the GIT' so we talked a lot about IBS, dyspepsia and all sorts of other wonderful related complaints... the best part was talking about poo etc, for the whole day, and performing an abdominal exam! What a tiring week it has been thoug, as we have now started a new module called DRE1- Digestive, renal and Endocrine (1)... as well as CVR- Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems. All fun and interesting, today, in anatomy, we even played with a plastinated specimen of a typical heart- plastinated is basically where a REAL heart has been taken out of a cadaver and treated with parafin so it is ridgid...Hockey, on tuesday, was fun- I arrived late but made up for it, by accepting drinking fines in the bar afterwards. There's probably a match I am supposed to turn up to on Sunday, actually I have quite a bit of work to do this weekend (suprise), but it shall start very well with Medbar tonight!!!
OK- so have a good weekend everyone. Bye for now
D
