More exams!!!

Ugh- I had another exam today (it really didn't go well). I also have an exam tomorrow- on cardiovascular and respiratory physiology (oh bugger!) And to top it off I have another exam on Tuesday on the physiology of the digestive and renal systems... and a deadline for my Firm 1 essay (100% of that module depends on this) and then another deadline for another essay on Thursday. Oh and to top it off I got the results of the two latest mini tests I did (they really are only mini- worth 0.25% of the anatomy module each) but as I got a D in each I feel a bit special, especially as I have only passed one!
Although I have had quite a good week really. The hockey dinner on Monday was lots of fun, then last night I went to see The Marriage of Figaro at the Hippodrome which was fantastic so all in all it hasn't been too bad in general- just lots of work and deadlines.... and exams- well at least the Easter holiday is only 1 week and a couple of days away!
Back to revision now- I will post again when things calm down a bit.

Results!!!

Finally the results for the January exams came out- I got; A,B,A,B,C- in that order in Biological science, NeuroMuscularSkeletal (combined module- not a typo) and Ethics and Law- it turns out that I am not a highly ethical, or legal, person- because I got a C in that one.... but it is still a pass though! We are still awaiting the Mini Test results, but as they are nowhere near as important they can certainly wait. This week has been quite stressfull, I think it increases as the weeks progress- the long awaited easter holiday; preceded by more EXAMS!!!!!!!!! Plus I have a deadline for 2 essays (not quite 'done' yet) due in such a short time... Oh dear!
On Monday I had my last BLS (Basic Life Support) session, and an exam- which I passed, but it went on until 10pm, so I didn't get back until about 10:30, missing the most of ER :( Never mind though- Next Monday it is the Hockey dinner, I have got to get a Russian costume together over the weekend- don't ask, it's a very long story, that doesn't even make any sense anyway!
Respiratory physiology is getting so very confusing... it is literally just "Blah, blah, blah"- even the most enthusiastic people cannot follow what is going on there... But Renal physiology is going very well, I like it- and I think that it is possibly easier (probably why I like it!). Unfortunately the Digestive stuff is just getting so boring, - just a load of poo really, and certainly not put as simply in the lectures, but I have a good book for that so I hope I won't go too far astray.
Today my half of the year had Firm 1- the GP placement, and as it was the penultimate one we got to have fun- I mean it; taking blood, measuring bp, spirometry, the odd jab, I even got to do an ECG on someone. It was sooooo great, I was really nervous (bricking it to be honest) about just touching a total stranger, yet alone stick a dirty great needle (obviously it was actually sterile) into their arm, the first one I did get blood but was rather pants at it and didn't quite get it right, but after that there was no turning back- and it all got so much better. So that really helped withthe week, keeping me on track and reminding me why I am doing this.
Any way, I am being "good" this week, I have only gone oout twice so far- as last week, and the week before that.... and the week before that I went out pretty much every night- not getting much work done, but spending too much money. So I am not going out tonight, which is ok as it will allow me to do boring stuff like working on one of my essays (for all of 10 minutes) and then House is on- I love that programme- not as good as ER though.
Bye for now.

Hi guys.
I had prosection again today- specifically on the cardiovascular system, it was fascinating to see so many hearts, all a lot different to the pictures in the books!
I had another exam on Monday- I don't feel it did very well, but as I am still waiting for the results of the exams I did at the begining of January I guess I will be waiting a while to find out! We have really hit a rut in the respiratory physiology lectures.... very hard stuff to follow, so I forked out £20 for one book that is only 180 pages long... oh dear- I hope it proves to be worth it! On a good note though we have also started a new module- renal physiology, and this is a subject that I really like! Looking forward to the easter holiday, and also in the summer- the hockey trip to Spain, it is going to be so much fun! Although between now and then I have yet more exams and essays to do- reminding me that I really should have done more work than I did do today, but I don't have lectures until 11am tomorrow so I shall get cracking on my Firm 1 essay. It is a friends birthday tomorrow too- so definately cause for celebration. Oh also - Medball this Saturday, I am so excited. It is an event that about 1300 people go to at the ICC (international convention centre)- supposed to be the best large function facility in UK, and it is from 5.30 'til 2~ 4am (depending on how hardcore you are), so I have plenty to keep me busy.
Anyway, if I am to get up early tomorrow to work on this essay- I need to catch some sleep, so bye for now.
