Holiday time!!!

Thank goodness the exams are over and I am still alive (just about). The last couple of days have been packed full of fun and now I will have to go home- how boring. (forgive me if I miss a few h's but i broke the key and am having to use a pencil to operate it!). My last exam was possibly the worst- a 3 and 3/4 hour long multiple choice questions on all of the main modules- digestive, renal and endocrine pysiology, cardivoascular and respiratory physiology, and biomedical sciences too (just for good measure). We all went out on that evening, Tuesday, and went to Reflex- a really cool 80's bar that plays all my favourite cheese. Then we went to another club called Forbidden Fruit- more RnB (not my favourite) but certainly enjoyable! After that we went to someone elses flat and kipped on teir floor for te night, only waking to drink some more and have a giggle at the state of some of the others. Wednesday- oh that was a little bit of a flop- we were all going to go out, but were all so knackered that a group of us went to see the Da Vinci Code at the cinema.... no comment!!! Tursday was soooooooo ace, we went to a different halls for a prelash party then went to a legendary night known solely as VodBull- i have 2 words for you; Fan - Tastic! We went back an kipped on their floor after waticing X men 2 (at 5 o'clock in the morning) and then woke up, went to the supermarket to get some supplies got back and had a massive water fight- ohhhh the fun, I got totally soaked, but I by that time I adn't showered in about 2 days anyway so it was quite welcome. Then after that (this was yesterday) we went to our respective flats to clean up and get ready for another nigt of fun- we went bowling, this time I did have the sense not to kick the ball- and so will not be hobbling on cruches for ages (like I did last time I went bowling). We then went into Sellyoak for some grub- we went to an all you can eat buffet- a challenge worthy of my attention! But my performance was hampered by a whole chilli that was hidden in one of my 8 portions- I swear I actualy nearly died!!! From there we went to Medbar- as all of the 2nd years had finised their exams too it was rammed, but it was good to see them! We ad plans to go to a club called Bar 1 after that, but were cream crackered so actually at 12 we just went to bed!
Anyway, today is a slow day, I have to go to the medschool to sort a few things out- as I have lost my student ID and am concerned as to how I will access my results in a couple of weeks, then I am going with anoter group of friends to see X men 3- looks to be great!!! then it is home where I will be told off by my parents for being soooooo disorganised as I have missed the deadline to sent off my application for a student loan- I know, I know- I bet you are seeing a pattern emerge here; lost student ID, forgotten application, and a few other things not worth mentioning... I am a little forgetful, but have had a lot to think about the last few weeks so I think I can be forgiven.
Anyway- before I forget I must shower and ten be off (in te rain :( ) to the med school.
Bye for now

oops

Sorry guys- I really let it slip... I am aware I haven't published an entry in ages and I am sorry.
As you can imagin life has been on the hectic side of tranquil and has seemed to have lost all semblance of sanity (as have I). The last week has been filled with exams- one every day and on two days I had two exams... each lasting on average 2.5 hours. The exams have all started in the morning (and usuall finished in the afternoon) leaving me the rest of the day to revise. However the problems with my flatmates continue- as there are such a huge number of medis the university schedule our exams early in the period- this means I have intenses exams, whilst eveyone else (who probably only have about 2 exams) can wait until late May / early June for theirs... in the meantime having no lectures- it is just a party for them. So I have come home to get some sleep and propper study done fot the hardest exam in biomedical sciences on Monday.
This week I haave had exams in DRE, Neuroscience, Musculoskeletal, CVRS, Behavioural science, public health and epidemiology. next week- more of the same! The revision is hard and is certainly getting boring... and I must say (and appologies for not inspiring enthusiasm at this stage) the last few days have been really hard and immotive for not only myself but many of my peers. This was eleviated to some extent today, as our next exam is on Monday, I went to the pub to meet up with a few people and ended up haveing a great time, it made me realise how much I had missed my friends over the easter holiday, and through the solitude of revision.
We have all got some exciting and "interesting" things planned for the weeks after these nasty exams- as long as we make it through!
I went to see the house I will be living in next year. I will be living with a couple of other medics, and they jsut so happen to be a great cpouple of friends too- so I am not only relieved at the much improved prospects for living arrangements next year, but I am also really looking forward to it all too- the BBQ's in the summer (in the huge garden) etc... just everything!
This is, of course, provided I make it into the next year! Everyone is going through self doubt at the moment, and I am no exception- but still, keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
Bye for now. Good luck to those of you currently taking exams... and to those of you that aren't- enjoy your free time, especially with this fantastic sun that we are getting at the moment!
