Results

Hi guys...
Just to let you know that I got my results the other day and I passed them all (huge sigh of relief).... all 26 of them ,dont worry- the hardcore period only had 12 in the rest were spread out throughout the whole year. So now I get to go through to the 2nd year!
Unfortunatley I did not get the post as a CO... which is a little dissappointing but could also be a blessing too- now I will be able to enjoy freshers without worrying about responsibilities, and just get totally wasted. If any of you are going to be Freshers in October- just remember it is customary to buy me a drink!
On Friday I will be going to España with the hockey team... to "play" a game of hockey- yeah right, I imagine things will centre more around drinking! However I am really looking forward to this!
Other than that there isn't much to tell you really- life seems boring outside of uni... I am working all hours god sends (and my line manager [thanks Sandra]) at Warwick Castle... which is good, because I need to save so I can afford to go to uni next year, especially as my car just got a little grumpy with me and has just gone in for £200 worth of repairs. Hopefully (finger crossed) I will get to work at a few of their concerts in the summer to bring in a few extra pennies.
Anyway, I will post when I get back from Spain to tell you all how it went... in the meantime...
Bye all!

Back at The Castle

Well I have been back at home from my various trips for a while now and am now working back at Warwick Castle. It is nice to be back but I am looking forward to going into Brum on Thursday evening to go to Vodbull (the last one of term!). OMG- Results are coming out on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Devon was fantastic- I had my interview to be a CO (conference officer)- basically a sort of warden for Freshers week, before hand and then went straight from the uni down the entire length of the M5- for about 3 hours and then arrived to glorious sunshine and fantastic weather... as well as a glass of Pimms! The beer festival was great too- at first we were almost the only people there, but it soon picked up. The various beers and ciders ranged from the just disgusting and the absolutely drinkable... and by the end of the evening there were certainly a few of us that were slightly sloshed. The day after we went to dartmoor, and tried to get to the Haytor- but got a littl e lost and so arrived later than others did- but we then decided it would be best just to go to the pub instead... which was followed by fish and chips on the sea front in Paignton. I had such a great time- it was really like being on holiday!
London, although slightly hectic was also another two days of fun. Unfortunately my car decided to break down on the way down there, but only delayed us by an hour. We were sort of planning to do the whole touristy thing and see the sights, but instead we ended up just going for a wonder and drinking in a few pubs and bars- in one TGI's we saw some "famous" people off the TV... so famous in fact we achnmowledged that they were off the TV but we were unable to actually remember were from or who they were (but we had had quite a lot to drink by this point)!
I started back at work on Saturday and have been busy ever since, it is quite odd really- I have a day off today, but don't really know what to do with myself!
Anyway, I ought to get on with something- so I will go now, and post after results (All of you keep your fingers crossed!!!)
Bye for now

Let the good times roll!

Wow- I have been enjoying my spaare tim!
So far, since those nasty exams have finished, I have driven down to devon to visit some friends (and go to a fantastic beer festival!)... and had a reall great, unwundung time- unfortunately one of my tyres decided to pop too, but this was easily resolved with the very kind assisstnace of one of my very good friend's Dad! Then the day after I got back from that I went down (after coming back up!) to London- well a littl outside of London actually... but I went with a load of friends, stayed at a hous of one of them, then went into London a couple of times in the days I stayed ther- It was a fantastic break, I unwound very well (even getting to drink Pimms in Hyde Park!). Anyway- Lots of fun in lots of days, really unwind ing after a load of intense, stressfull exams!
Today I went back into brum to "play" in a hockey match- never mind.. basically that involved a lot of larking about, in the sun, with a can of cheap larger and a megaphone (which I don't need!).
Well I start back at work- at Warwick Castle tomorrow, and I must say I will definately apreciate the income!!! but soon off to Spain with the Hockey group, for a few "matches"- well as I haven't managed to secure any games with any teams (evem with my "fluent" skills in the language)... it willl probably be about 4 days of concentrated drinking and pratting about! (I hope!).
Anyway, I ought to go and iron my shirt for tomorrow- I really hate not being able to get away with living like a student in the real world- you know, with ironing, and washing stuff etc!!!
Bye for now... good luck in your exams- or I hope you enjoy your momentary respite from study (if you have finished!).
